There will be a bus connecting Hotel Ibis Copacabana Posto 5 and the event venue
at UFRJ (see further below for bus schedule):

BUS TO THE EVENT
There will be a bus
leaving every day in the morning
from the Ibis Copacabana Posto 5 hotel (Rua Xavier da Silveira, 82 -
Copacabana) to the event venue at
UFRJ Ilha do Fundão campus – CT2 building (Rua Muniz
Aragão, 360 – Ilha do Fundão district), and returning to
the hotel after end of activities
each day.
Priority for the bus will be given
to speakers, and then event participants.
Participants staying at Ibis Budget RJ hotel (or elsewhere) will
have to go to the Ibis
Copacabana Posto 5 hotel in order to
take the bus (there will be
no other bus stops). It is a short walking distance between both hotels (Ibis
Posto 5 and Ibis Budget RJ).
No delays will
be accepted, and the bus will
leave punctually at the scheduled
time, as follows:
- From Ibis Posto
5 to UFRJ: at 8h30 on Monday, anda t 8h45 from Tuesday to
Friday
- From UFRJ back
to Ibis Posto 5 hotel: at 18h45 from Monday
to Thursday, anda t 16h45 on Friday
GENERAL OVERVIEW ABOUT ACCOMMODATION
POSSIBILITIES IN RIO DE JANEIRO
We suggest installing

Oficial", which is available for free both for Apple and Android. Below we list some websites to book hotels, hostels and short-term rental flats. The latter could be
an interesting alternative for small groups. Nevertheless, this list is
not extensive and other places
to stay can
be found in Internet. This list was
put together by us, but
is not intended
to be any
sort of recommendation.
For those staying
in the Southern Zone of
Rio, there is bus line 485, which connects Ipanema district with the university
campus, passing by the districts of
Copacabana (stops over the whole Av. N. Sra. Copacabana), Botafogo (stops at Botafogo Bay) and Laranjeiras/Flamengo (stops at Pinheiro Machado street). A regular taxi from the South Zone of Rio to the university
campus at Ilha do Fundao is estimated to
cost around BRL 75.00 under normal traffic conditions. When using apps (e.g. Taxi.Rio, PlayTaxi, EasyTaxi, 99Taxi, Cabify and Uber apps),
the price could be lower.
