NUCAT offers modern labs for preparation, evaluation and characterization of catalysts, specialized in a set of techniques which enables the understanding and improvement of new materials. The characterization lab boasts equipment for mass and surface area analysis such as DRX, BET, FRX, ATG/ATD, TPR/TPO/TPD, Chemisorption (CO and H2), FTIR, as well as spectroscopic in situ techniques, such as DRS, DRX, XPS and DRIFTS; while the catalytic evaluation lab possesses automatized units with data acquisition systems (on-line chromatographs, quadrupole mass spectrometers, gas analyzers using electrochemical cells, GCMS, flow controllers) for the performance of Temperature-Programmed Surface Reaction (TPSR) analyses and high pressure and temperature tests.
